Polydemy Conversation Lab

Your Spanish has been in witness protection for three years.

You understand everything. You read a menu, a news article, a text from your mother-in-law. Then someone asks you a question out loud and you turn into a golden retriever hearing a doorbell. Eyes wide. No output.

That’s not a language problem. That’s a talking problem. Different muscle. We only train that one.

Three languages. Zero worksheets.

Small groups, one native speaker, one job: get you to talk more than you’re comfortable with.

Spanish

You’ve had a 400-day Duolingo streak and you still ordered “the water” in English last time you were in Madrid.

Structured enough you won’t get lost. Loose enough you’ll stop sounding like you’re reading subtitles out loud.

Start speaking English

So, where does your speaking actually stand?

Three steps in the same ladder. Same format, same rules — the difference is how much you can already do out loud.

A1

Start from zero, by talking.

Available on request · Spanish only, for now
  • Talk, don’t translate flashcards in your head first
  • Real sentences from week one, not “the pen is on the table”
  • Mistakes are expected, not a personal failure
  • Skip the silent years— start speaking before you feel ready
  • Groups are built on request— tell us and we assemble one

A2-B1

“I get it, I just don’t say it.”

  • End the 8-second pause before every sentence
  • Actually use the vocabulary you’ve been quietly hoarding
  • Build a reflex, not a theory
  • Talk. Weekly. Out loud.

B1-B2

“Grammatically correct, personality-free.”

  • Vocabulary that isn’t from a 2019 textbook
  • The hesitations, filler words, and rhythm no app ever teaches
  • Phrasing that doesn’t make a native’s face do a thing
  • Sentences that sound like you, not like a worksheet

This is for you if...

  • You understand the language fine, you just never talk
  • You learned it years ago and refuse to let it quietly disappear
  • You live somewhere that speaks it and you’re tired of pointing at menus
  • You want fluency, not another streak number

This is NOT for...

  • Absolute zero beginners in French or English (A0) — come back once you’ve got some footing there
  • C1-C2 — you’ve outgrown us, go show off elsewhere
  • Kids or teens — adults only

Absolute Spanish beginners: see the A1 card above — set up on request.

Our method, in one line

We don’t teach grammar.
We point at the one you just used.

No whiteboard. No “today we’re learning the subjunctive.” You say something, out loud, mid-conversation — and your teacher hands it back to you. “You just said that in the past tense. Why? What would change if you said it differently?”

You end up explaining your own sentence to yourself. That’s the part that actually sticks — not because someone told you the rule, but because you noticed it in something you actually said.

  • No rules handed to you upfront. Your own sentences become the lesson.
  • Grammar gets named in the moment it shows up, not memorised before you need it.
  • It’s mentoring, not lecturing — they guide the noticing, you do the thinking.

The mechanics. No fluff.

Length

60 - 75 minutes. Enough to matter, not enough to dread.

Group size

3 - 4 people. Small enough you can’t quietly disappear into the background.

Same group, every week

Strangers become people you actually talk to. That’s the whole trick.

Schedule

The group picks it together, week to week.

Commitment

1 month minimum. This is a relationship, not a hookup.

Frequency

1 or 2 sessions a week. Your call.

Membership

Same price every month. Even in long months. — we already did the math.

No punch cards. No spreadsheet of "how many classes were in this month". You pick a rhythm, we bill it flat, you show up.

All plans

Two rhythms, two formats. Twice a week online is the best per-class value.

Plan Frequency Per class Monthly price
In-person · Barcelona 1×/week €15 €60
In-person · Barcelona 2×/week €15 €120
Online 1×/week €15 €60
Online 2×/week €12 €99 Best value

Before you ask

Why is the per-class rate lower on 2×/week online?

Because showing up twice a week is what actually breaks the freeze. We reward the commitment, we don't punish it — 2×/week online drops the per-class price from €15 to €12.

What if there's a public holiday on my class day?

Nothing changes on your end. Some months run short (a public holiday cuts a class). Some run long (a 5-week month hands you an extra one). It averages out — that's why the price is flat, not something you need to track or ask about.

Can I switch from 1× to 2×/week later?

Yes — changes take effect on your next billing cycle, group space permitting.

Is the trial really €15, not free?

Yes. €15, paid upfront, separately from any subscription. If you don't continue, that's the end of it. If you do continue, the monthly subscription starts on top — the trial fee is not credited back.

Twice a week is a rhythm. Three times a week for six months straight is a reset.

Day 0 Lab

What you’ll actually talk about

Not “describe your morning routine.” Things adults actually have opinions on. Conversations you’d have anyway. Just in a different language.

How to get in

1

Pick your language.

2

Fill out a short form. Two minutes, not a personality quiz.

3

Tell us your real level. We’re placing you correctly, not grading you.

4

We match you to a group that actually fits how you talk.

Sophie messages you on WhatsApp within 24 hours. An actual human typing actual words, not an automated sequence.

Stop understanding it quietly. Start saying it out loud.

You didn’t spend years learning this language just to keep it as a party trick you never use.
